Rice With Garlic & Herbs

240 gm long-grain rice -- (3 dl.)
5 deciliters water
1 teaspoon thyme
1 tablespoon oregano
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 deciliter fresh chives -- finely
1 chopped
2 cloves garlic -- crushed or
1 minced
Rinse rice and discard water. Bring rice, water, thyme, oregano and salt to a boil. Let boil covered for 40-25 minutes at low heat. Add chives and garlic before serving.
