Savory Beef

2 lb round steak; cut into 1/2
1 inch cubes
3 tablespoon oil
1 large onion; chopped
1 clove garlic; minced
3 tablespoon flour
3 oz can of mushrooms; undrained
1/2 cup chopped celery
1 cup sour cream
8 oz tomato sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1 pepper
1 chopped celery, for garnish
1 chopped chives; for garnish
In a large saucepan, heat oil. Add beef. Brown. Add onion and garlic. cook, stirring, until onions are transparent. Add flour, stirring until beef cubes are coated. Add mushrooms with juice and celery. In a small bowl, combine remaining ingredients. Mix well. Pour over meat. Toss well. Remove from heat. Turn mixture into a greased 2 quart casserole dish.Cover. Bake at 325 for 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours until meat is tender. Sprinkle with chopped celery and chives. Source: MGR recipes
