Oatmeal Cookies From Corabiscuits 2/3 cup shortening 2 cup sugar; brown 2 eggs, beaten 1 cup raisins water; boiling 1 teaspoon soda, baking 2 cup flour 2 cup oatmeal 1/2 cup nut meats, chopped Cream shortening. Add sugar and the beaten eggs. Mix well. Mix the soda in boiling water and add to the above. Add flour, oatmeal, raisins and nut meats. Mix well and drop by spoonfuls on cookie sheet.
