Malted Rye Bread

----1 POUND LOAF----
1/4 cup (plus 2 tb) milk
1 teaspoon active dry yeast
1 2/3 cup bread flour
2/3 cup rye flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
3 tablespoon vegetable oil
2 teaspoon barley malt syrup*
1/4 cup honey
2 eggs
1. Scald the milk and let cool to room temperature. 2. Add the milk and all remaining ingredients in the order suggested by your bread machine manual and process on the basic bread cycle. * Available in health food stores ~--
