Rolled Oats Cakes

2 cup rolled oats
1 1/2 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 tablespoon water
1/4 teaspoon maple flavoring
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 1/2 cup sour milk or buttermilk
2 eggs, well beaten
1 tablespoon sugar
2 tablespoon butter or butter substitute
Sift flour, measure, and sift with baking powder, baking soda, sugar, and salt. Add to oats and milk. Add butter, water and eggs. Beat thoroughly. Bake on hot griddle. 24 servings. Mrs. Scott Baxter, Latty, OH.
