Plum Relish
relishes
2 lb apples
4 medium onions
1 quart vinegar
2 tablespoon grated ginger root
2 tablespoon cloves
6 lb plums, pitted
1 teaspoon garlic salt
2 tablespoon salt
1/2 teaspoon red pepper
2 lb brown sugar
Pare and core apples. Chop apples, onions, and plums. Combine all ingredients. Cook slowly, stirring frequently, until thick. Mrs. J.F. Mabie, Happy Hollow, WA.
