Cincinnati Chili

1 lb beef coarsely ground
1 medium chopped onion
1 tablespoon salad oil
1/2 teaspoon oregano
2 tablespoon to 3 t chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1 can (8oz) tomato sauce
24 oz water
1 lb kidney beans
Saute the grd beef and onion in salad oil until lightly browned. Add remaining ingredients and simmer 30 to 40 min. Its better to start with a smaller amount of chili powder and salt, then add to taste.
