Beefy Tostadas

1.00 lb ground beef; browned
1.50 cup tomato sauce
1.00 tablespoon chili powder
1.00 tablespoon picante sauce water
6.00 oz cheddar cheese; grated
12.00 tostada shells
1.00 lettuce
1.00 tomatoes
1.00 onion
1.00 picante sauce

Combine first 5 items in crockpot and simmer a few hours. Spoon 1/4 cup of this meat mixture onto each warm tostada shell. Top with 1/2 oz. cheddar cheese. Serve 2 tostada shells on a bed of lettuce with tomatoes and onions and picante sauce. Each serving = 1 bread, 3 proteins, mucho veggies! From: Lyn Ortiz Date: 06-26-96 (18:11)
