Hot Herby Mushrooms

6.00 tablespoon butter
1.00 large onion; chopped
2.00 teaspoon basil
2.00 teaspoon oregano
0.50 teaspoon thyme
0.25 cup lemon juice
0.50 cup sherry
0.25 teaspoon red pepper flakes
3.00 lb mushrooms; washed & left whole
onion and saute until onion is limp. Turn cooker on low. Add spices, lemon juice, sherry and pepper flakes and allow mixture to steep on low for 1 to 2 hours. Add mushrooms about 15 minutes before guests
