Cold Water Cakecakes 2 cup white sugar 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1 teaspoon nutmeg 1 teaspoon cloves 2 tablespoon shortening 1 lb muscat raisins 2 cup cold water 3 cup flour 1 teaspoon soda 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 teaspoon salt Put first 7 ingredients in saucepan, stir and boil 5 minutes. Let cool. Add the vanilla then the flour, soda and salt witch have been sifted to-gether. Add cherries and nuts , I use small bottle of cherries and a half cup of chopped nuts and I also add at least a cup of regular raisins. |
