1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
3/8 cup corn sirup
1/2 cup chopped raisins
1 few grains salt
3/8 cup evaporated milk
2 tablespoon butter or butter substitute
1 teaspoon any flavoring
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1/2 cup coconut

Combine sugar, sirup, milk, and salt. Boil to hard ball stage (265 - 270 F). Add butter, flavoring, chopped nuts, raisins, and coconut. Pour into well-buttered pan. When cold cut into long narrow bars. Blanche E. McGlough, San Leandro, CA.
