Maple Applescandies 6 tart apples 1 cup maple syrup 1 1/2 cup water Wash, pare and core apples. Leave whole. Combine water and syrup and bring to a boil. Add apples and simmer until tender. Turn frequently to insure even cooking. When apples are done, remove from pan and continue to cook syrup until thickened. Pour syrup over apples.
