Mexican Chocolate

2 oz squares chocolate; grated boiling water
2 cup milk
3 tablespoon sugar
1 cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 egg; beaten slightly
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon vanilla

Boil chocolate and water 5 minutes; add remaining ingredients. Cook in double boiler 1 hour, beating at intervals.
