Cocoa Hermitscookies 1/2 cup shortening 2/3 cup sugar 2 eggs 1/2 cup raisins or nuts 6 tablespoon water (hot) 2 cup flour 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 cup cocoa 1 teaspoon vanilla Cream shortening and sugar, stir into creamed shortening beaten eggs, raisins and 2 tablespoons of hot water. Sift dry ingredients together and add. Dissolve cocoa in 4 tablespoons of hot water and add last. Mix well. Drop by teaspoon on greased baking sheet, place nut or raisin on top of each cookie.
