Peanut Butter Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

1/2 cup butter
2 tablespoon butter
1/2 cup peanut butter
2 tablespoon peanut butter
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt (opt)
3 cup old-fashioned oats, uncooked
1 pkg semisweet chocolate chips (12 oz)

1. Heat oven to 375'F. Beat butters and sugar until fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Add combined flour, baking soda and salt; mix well. Stir in oats and chocolate chips. 2. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8-9 minutes for a chewy cookie, 10-11 minutes for a crisp cookie. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet, remove to wire rack, cool, store tightly covered. Makes 4-1/2 dozen cookies.
