Pear Cookiescookies 1 cup brown sugar 2 eggs, well beaten 2 1/4 cup flour 1/2 teaspoon mace 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup sour milk 3 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon baking soda 1 cup dried pears 1/2 cup shortening Wash pears, remove cores, and chop. Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and milk. Sift flour, measure, and sift with baking powder, baking soda, salt, and mace. Add pears. Mix thoroughly.
