Peach Delight

1 cup flour
2 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoon butter
1/3 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
6 ripe peaches, peeled & slice
Sift together dry ingredients, cut in butter until crumbs form. Combine Milk, Vanilla and egg; stir into flour until moistened, spread dough into 8" square baking pan. Arrange peaches in rows pressing lightly into dough. Bake at 425 degrees for 25 minutes.
