Dark Chocolate Syrup

1 1/2 cup sugar
1 cup cocoa
1 cup water
1 teaspoon vanilla
MIX SUGAR, COCOA AND WATER IN A DEEP SAUCE PAN. COVER AND COOK OVER LOW HEAT 15 MINUTES, STIRRING OFTEN TO PREVENT BURINING. REMOVE FROM HEAT, COOL AND STIR IN VANILLA. CHILL SEVERAL HOURS BEFORE USE.
