Diabetic Apple Crunch

2 slice dry bread
1 tablespoon diet margarine
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon allspice
3 cup apples; cored sliced
1 tablespoon lemon juice
3/4 cup dietetic maple syrup

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Make crumbs from bread and toast in oven. Mix toasted crumbs with margarine, cinnamon, and 1/4 teaspoon allspice. Mix apples with lemon juice, maple syrup, and remainder of allspice; spread in a well-greased shallow baking dish ( approximately 8" round). Cover with crumb mixture; bake 45 minutes or until apples are tender. Serve warm.
