Oatmeal With Raisins And Cinnamon


breakfast, diabetic, low-cal, low-fat

1 1/2 cup water
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoon raisins
2/3 cup uncooked quick-cooking oats
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Combine water, salt, and raisins in a small saucepan; bring to a boil. Stir in oats and cinnamon. Reduce heat, and simmer 1 minute or until water is absorbed. Remove vrom heat, and serve warm. Makes 4, 1/2 cup servings. Nutritional information per serving: calories - 93, protein - 3 gm., fat - 1 gm., carbohydrates - 18 gm., cholesterol - 0 mg., fiber - trace, sodium - 197 mg.
