Chicken Fricot

1 5 lb chicken,cubed
1/4 lb salt pork
2 medium onions,diced
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1 salt
1 pepper
1 cup cold water
4 medium potatoes,diced
1/4 cup flour
2 medium carrots,diced (optional)
8 cup boiling water
Cube salt pork and cut chicken into cubes.Fry pork until golden,set aside. Add chicken and fry until brown.Put everything into a large pot and cook until meat is tender.Blend flour and cold water and add to the fricot to thicken it.Summer savory may be also added for extra flavour.
