Pouding Chomeur

2 cup flour
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup milk
1 medium egg
4 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 cup melted margarine
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cup brown sugar
2 cup water
1 tablespoon flour
1 teaspoon maple extract
PASTRY : Mix the flour,sugar,milk,egg,baking powder,margarine and salt in a : bowl. SAUCE : Mix the brown sugar,water,flour and maple extract into a bowl
Assembly : Pour the sauce mixture in the bottom of a casserole dish and then pour the pastry mix over the top.Bake at 375 F for 30 to 40 min.
Variation : SAUCE:In place of the brown sugar and water,you can try 2 cups of Maple syrup and 1 cup of water.
: FRUIT:You can add blueberries to the bottom of the casserole dish
