Chili Con Carne

1 lb ground beef
1 cup onion, chopped
1 cup green pepper, chopped
2 cup tomatoes, canned
1 each garlic clove, minced
2 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 dash cayenne
1 dash paprika
1 can kidney beans (medium can)

Pan fry ground beef, onion and green pepper in skillet until meat is brown. Drain fat. Add remaining ingredients except beans and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer until thick (about 1 hour). Stir in beans and heat. For dried kidney beans - use 1/2 lb (for standard serving size). Wash, and cover with boiling water. Cook 2 minutes and remove from heat. Soak for 1 hour then bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer till tender.
