Mom's Spanish Rice

2 tablespoon salad oil
1 1/3 cup rice
2 tablespoon minced onion
1 lb ground beef/chuck/hamburger
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 8 oz cans tomato sauce
1 beef bouillon cube
1 cup hot water
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon salt

From: Mom. In hot fat in skillet, cook rice with onion and beef till golden brown. Add salt and rest of ingredients; simmer, covered until rice is tender. Makes 4 servings.
