Tex-mex Bake

2 cup crushed corn chips
1 each large egg beaten
2 tablespoon water
1 each env. onion soup mix
1 lb lean ground beef
4 oz (1 cn) chopped green chilis*
3 oz (1 c) monterey jack cheese**
8 oz (1 cn) tomato sauce
1 each med. green pepper, chopped

* Green chilies should be drained. ** Cheese should be any mild cheese and should be shredded. Should = 1 C.
