Avocado Salsa

1 ripe Haas avocado; coarsely chopped
1 tablespoon finely diced red onion
1 tablespoon minced jalapeno
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
salt; to taste
freshly-ground black pepper; to taste
Combine all of the ingredients in a bowl and season with salt and freshly ground pepper to taste.
This recipe yields about 1 cup of salsa.
