Teriyaki Flank Steak

1 1/2 pounds flank steak
1/4 cup pineapple sauce
2 tablespoons chopped onion
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 teaspoon ground ginger
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
1 tablespoon honey
1 clove garlic
Trim excess fat from steak -- place steak in a shallow container.
Combine next 8 ingredients, stirring well.
Pour marinade over steak. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Remove steak and reserve marinade.
Grill steak 5 inches from hot coals 5-7 minutes on each side or until desired doneness.
Baste with marinade during cooking.
Garnish with onions.
**Note: Any steak may be substituted for flank.
