Turkey Bayou Burgers

1 pound ground turkey
2 scallions; 3 inches of top
-- left on, thinly sliced
1 red bell pepper; finely chopped
1 teaspoon garlic; minced
2 tablespoons cilantro; chopped
3/4 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon paprika
red pepper flakes to taste
salt and pepper to taste
4 hamburger buns; toasted
1/4 cup regular or reduced calorie mayonnai
type dressing
1 ripe avocado; sliced
Prepare hot coals for grilling.
Place the ground turkey in a bowl and mix well with the scallions, bell pepper, garlic, cilantro, and spices.
Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Gently form into 4 patties.
Grill patties over hot coals, 3 inches from heat, for about 5 or 6 minutes per side.
