Chocolate Biscotti

2/3 cup almonds; whole
1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tablespoon instant coffee; or espresso
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup semisweet chocolate chips
2 large eggs
2 large egg whites
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon almond extract; optional

2. Place almonds in jelly-roll pan and toast until golden. Cool nuts comp

7. Bake 45 min. on lower rack. Cool on sheet on wire rack 10 min. Leave
