Easy Blender Frozen Yogurt
dairy, low-cal, low-fat
1/2 envelope unflavored gelatin
1/4 cup ; water, cold
1 cup ; water, boiling
2/3 cup instant nonfat dry milk
1 powder or 1/2 c non-instant
1 milk
8 oz lowfat vanilla yogurt
1/4 teaspoon salt
6 oz can unsweetened frozen
1 orange juice concentrate,
1 partially thawed
In blender, combine the gelatin and cold water. Wait one minute for the gelatin to soften. Add the boiling water. Cover and blend on high speed until all the gelatin granules are dissolved. Add the milk powder, yogurt, salt and orange juice and blend smooth. Pour the mixture into a shallow metal dish and freeze until slushy. Remove from the freezer and quickly beat smooth. Return to the freezer and freeze firm. Allow the frozen yogurt to soften briefly at room temperature before serving.
