Hoisin Lc-3.4/s

ethnic- chinese, sauce

4 tbs soy sauce
2 tbs peanut butter, creamy natural
2 tbs Splenda, granular
2 tsp vinegar, white
1 clove garlic; crushed
2 tsp sesame oil, toasted
1/8 tsp five spice powder, Chinese

This Chinese sauce is usually made from fermented soybean paste, which has tons of sugar in it. Peanut butter is inauthentic, but it tastes quite good here. Put all the ingredients in a blender, and run it until everything is smooth and well combined. Store in a snap-top container. Yield: Roughly 1/3 cup. Each 1 tablespoons serving contains 2 grams of carbohydrates, a trace of fiber, and 2 grams of protein. Note: Of course, this sauce is essential for Mu Shu Pork (or Mu Shu Anything, for that matter), but it's also good for dipping plain chicken wings in.
