Applesauce Gingerbread

1 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
2/3 cup unsweetened applesauce
1/3 cup molasses
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 egg; slightly beaten

Combine first 7 ingredients; stir well. Combine applesauce, molasses, oil, and egg in a small bowl; add to flour mixture, stirring well. Spoon into a 9 inch square baking pan coated with cooking spray. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Serve warm. (Per serving: 139 calories; 4.0 g fat; 0.5 g saturated fat).
