Braised Kikko-chicken

3 lb frying chicken pieces
1/4 cup flour
2 tablespoon vegetable oil
2 celery stalks; chunked
2 carrots; chunked
1 medium onion; chunked
1/3 cup kikkoman soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon oregano, crumbled
Coat chicken with flour and brown in hot oil; remove. Saute celery, carrots and onion in same pan 2 minutes. Combine soy sauce and oregano with 1 cup water; add to pan with chicken. Cover and simmer 45 minutes, or until chicken is tender.
Makes 4 to 6 servings
