Country-style Sauerkraut & Sausages

8 sausages,brown & serve,1
1 can sauerkraut,bavarian(16oz)
1 egg,beaten
2 1/2 cup potatoes,mashed,prepared
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
2 tablespoon brown sugar
2 tablespoon onion,grated

1. Brown sausages in butter over medium heat 5 to 6 minutes, turning frequently. 2. Stir in sauerkraut and brown sugar; warm through. 3. Pour mixture into a greased 2-quart casserole; set aside. 4. Add egg and onion to mashed potatoes; stir well. 5. Spread potato mixture over sauerkraut; bake in preheated 350'F. oven, uncovered, 25 minutes.
