Cinnamon Sauce

1 cup packed dark brown sugar
2 teaspoon cornstarch
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoon butter -- or margarine
2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1. In a sauce pan, combine brown sugar, cornstarch and cinnamon. Gradually blend in 2 cups BOILING water. Cook, stirring constantly, until slightly thickened. 2. Remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla.
Yield: 2-1/2 cups of sauce to serve over ice cream, baked bananas, pineapples, and plain cakes.
