Cornish Hens & Dressing In Wine Sauce

1 cup finely chopped onions
1 cup chopped green pepper
3 tablespoon bacon drippings
6 slice fried bacon -- crumbled
3 cup white bread cubes
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoon thyme
1/2 teaspoon sage
6 cornish hens
1/2 cup melted butter
1/2 cup white wine
1 clove garlic -- crushed
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon sage

Saute onion and green pepper in bacon drippings. Add bacon, bread cubes, walnuts and seasonings. Stuff hens, place in roaster pan. Combine remaining ingredients; pour in roaster around hens. Bake at 4oo degrees for 1 hour; baste occasionally with sauce. Turn off heat and cool hens in sauce for 30 minutes before serving. Recipe By : MILEAH From: Date:
