Apple Syrup

2 cup unsweetened apple juice
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoon cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 1/2 tablespoon lime juice

Makes 2 cups. Serves 8-10 as a topping for pancakes. Also great as a topping for cottage cheese or frozen yogurt. Combine apple juice, brown sugar, cornstarch, salt and nutmeg in saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and cook, stirring occasionally, 3-5 min or until thickened. Stir in lime juice (optional).
