Danish Sugar Browned Potatoes

12 small potatoes
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter

Cook potatoes in boiling salted water until tender. Drain and peel. Cook sugar in a skillet over low heat until sugar turns brown. Add butter. Stir constantly until smooth. Add potatoes.
